‘Quad Bandit’ strikes again

A bank robber known as the “Quad Bandit” is suspected of continuing a crime spree by robbing a Whittier Boulevard bank on Thursday, La Habra Police said.

Just before noon, the robber was seen walking into the U.S. Bank, which is located inside the Albertson’s market at 1800 W. Whittier Blvd.

The robber said he had a weapon, presented a note and demanded cash, police said.

After collecting the cash, the robber entered what appeared to be a 2001 to 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier in the parking lot and fled east bound on Whittier Boulevard. The car is a two-door with a sunroof.

The robber is described as a white male about 35-45 years old. He was wearing a gray CA logo baseball cap, black long sleeve shirt, black pants and sunglasses.

“According to the FBI, based on surveillance photographs from today’s robbery, the suspect appears to be the ‘Quad Bandit,’ who has committed several robberies and attempted robberies,” said La Habra Det. C. Hentcy.
