Shooting at La Habra bar leaves two wounded

On Friday, April 19th, 2019, at approximately 10:53 p.m., the La Habra Police Department responded to the 2000 block of West Lambert Rd. after receiving multiple phone calls reporting gunshots heard in the area. The location of the incident was determined to be at the El Rinconcito Bar, 2061 W. Lambert Rd.

Officers arrived at the location and discovered an adult male suffering from two, non-life-threatening, gunshot wounds. A second male adult victim was also suffering from two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and provided medical treatment. Both male victims were transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.

La Habra Police Detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident. The preliminary investigation has led Detectives to believe the shooting may be gang-related. The text message is encrypted and an alias is generated, masking the identity of the sender from the police. The police have no way of determining the sender’s identity.
