A 15-year-old male Hispanic is recovering after being shot twice in the upper right thigh in what Garden Grove police say is the eighth gang-related shooting of 2016.
Police found the wounded minor lying between two buildings at Barclay Drive and Maureen Drive at 7:54 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, the GGPD said in a news release Sunday.
No suspect was seen, police said.
Officers from the Gang Suppression Unit responded to the shooting.
The victim was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
Several witnesses heard the shooting but could not give any information on a vehicle or suspect description.
