Comedian Jay Leno partnered with a Kentucky church to bring some joy to the family of a fallen officer.
Richmond PD Officer Daniel Ellis was killed in November during a robbery investigation and his family has been struggling to get along without him the last five months, reported WLKY.com.
Ellis was a seven-year veteran of the Richmond Police Department who left behind his wife, Katie Ellis, and his 3-year-0ld son, Luke.
Over the weekend, Leno and members from the church surprised Ellis’ wife with a visit, $10,000 to go toward their son’s college fund and an all-expenses paid trip to Disney World.
Richmond Police on Friday also renamed the department in Ellis’ name.
