A 67-year-old Huntington Beach woman reported missing by her husband last week was found in Las Vegas after police investigated her disappearance.
Officers at about 11 a.m. on Monday responded to the 16000 block of Springdale Avenue to take a missing persons report.
The resident told officers he had not heard from his wife since Thursday, Sept. 11. She was expected to meet a friend in Indio, but did not show up, police reported.
The woman’s phone was turned off and her car was not found, police reported.
Officers launched an investigation and found the woman recently received several offers for complimentary hotel stays in Las Vegas.
After calling multiple hotels, police located the woman and contacted Las Vegas Metro Police to check on her.
The man’s wife was found healthy and doing well, police reported.
