La Habra police thwarted a potential burglary Sunday by taking two people in custody Sunday who had loaded a cart full of merchandise at the Kohl’s department store in the 1600 block of Imperial Highway.
The theft was stopped after police were alerted by Kohl personnel that a man and woman was spotted in the store who were suspected of stealing from other Kohl’s stores.
When officers arrived, they found the pair exiting the store with a cart full of items and made the arrest.
Both the man and woman are facing burglary charges.
