Huntington Beach police arrested six people suspected of running a credit card fraud operation out of a local hotel.
Officers at about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, responded to a hotel in the 21500 block of Pacific Coast Highway after hotel security called to report possible fraud.
Hotel security found several people used a fraudulent credit card to rent a room, police said.
Officers arrived and detained several people while detectives investigated, police said.
The investigation led officers to a room at nearby hotel at 500 Pacific Coast Highway.
Investigators found more than 1,000 personal credit profiles, police equipment, stun guns, replica firearms and a variety of forgery instruments in the hotel room, police said.
Six suspects were arrested and booked at the Huntington Beach Jail for various felony charges.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and victims are being identified.
