Police have arrested two people on suspicion of allegedly stealing gardening tools and band equipment from Whittier Christian High School, officials said Tuesday.
Officers found some of the stolen equipment with the suspects in the back of a white truck on the west side of the school just after midnight Monday morning. Police recovered a toolbox, some tools, a drill, crash cymbals and two marimba stands.
They arrested Angel Rangel, 21, and Dominque King, 20, on suspicion of felony burglary and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; they are searching for two additional suspects.
They are also looking for other stolen items, including two hedge trimmers, a weed eater, two leaf blowers, an air compressor, a drill and a 60-inch Vizio television set.
