Update: The missing man has been located safe by the Buena Park Police Department.
The Westminster Police Department is searching for an at-risk 31-year-old man deemed critically missing.
William Silcock, a white man who is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds and has green/blue eyes, has the mental capacity of a 7-year-old child, according to Westminster police. Silcock was last seen at his Westminster home in the 7600 block of Gonzaga Place by a family member at about 7 p.m. March 12.
He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and shorts, black sandals, and glasses. He didn’t tell anyone he was leaving his home. He had left his home under similar circumstances in the past and at that time was found in the area of Hoover Street and Bolsa Avenue, near the railroad tracks.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the search for Silcock using bloodhounds.
“We used the Orange County bloodhounds to track the missing person and lost his scent in the area of Beach and Warner in Huntington Beach,” Westminster PD Commander Cameron Knauerhaze said.
Silcock may have been headed toward his mother’s home in the 20000 block of Minerva Lane in Huntington Beach.
Anyone with information on the missing man is asked to contact the Westminster Police Department Watch Commander at 714-548-3767.
