Behind the Badge
The Tustin Police Department is holding its annual National Night Out event this August, which helps build community and allows residents to get to know their law enforcement and safety officials.
This year’s event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at The District at Tustin Legacy, 2437 Park Avenue in Tustin.

The free, family friendly event includes a welcome ceremony and presentation of the colors by the Tustin Police Department Honor Guard, followed by entertainment provided by the School of Rock, the Tustin Dance Center, and the Tustin Police K9 units.
Kids can join in with games, a bounce house, and face painting. This year’s National Night Out also features a quest game for adults.

The exhibits will include the Heritage Museum of Orange County, Orange County Human Relations, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the U.S. Army, the 419th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, and the Orange County Fire Authority.
