The Tustin PD has arrested a man suspected of attempting to expose himself in a park bathroom to a female juvenile who managed to escape after a brief struggle.
The incident happened at around 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5 in Columbus Tustin Park, in the 14700 block of Prospect Avenue.
The suspect went inside the women’s restroom and the victim ran to her father after she escaped.
Her father called 911 as the suspect fled.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the suspect hiding behind a car. He attempted to run but was quickly apprehended and arrested without incident.
The suspect has been identified as Pedro Frias, 21, of Tustin. He has a prior criminal history and is currently on probation, according to the Tustin PD.
Frias was booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of child molestation, attempted lewd act on a child, lewd conduct, and false imprisonment.
