Sgt. Sean Whiteley of the Tustin Police Department shares his tale of a dangerous incident that happened while he was handling a traffic accident in Tustin in 2007.
Whiteley was hit by a vehicle. He was thrown nearly 50 feet and hit the vehicle’s windshield, breaking his back in three places and causing other injuries as well. After a year recovering, he was able to return to duty in 2008.
