Behind the Badge
Nearly the entire Beverly Hills Police Department gathered for an inspection ceremony on Wednesday, July 31, in an impressive display of the department’s motto, “One Team, One Mission.”
Chief Sandra Spagnoli and Assistant Chief Marc Coopwood shook hands with each member of the department, handing out “thank you’s” and challenge coins. City officials at the presentation following the ceremony commended the police department and underscored the community’s support for the brave men and women who protect them.
“Today is a day for you to check in and renew your mission to your common goal: keeping Beverly Hills safe,” Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch said. “You have a community that believes in its police and looks at you not as ‘them’ but as part of us. Community is not just who we work for, but it is a core value.”
