Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators seek public’s assistance to identify suspect

STANTON, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2019) – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted kidnapping which took place in the city of Stanton.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, an attempted kidnapping of a 23-year-old female occurred while she was walking near the 7000 block of Syracuse Avenue. The suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to forcibly pull her into a newer model black sedan.

The victim was able to pull herself free and run away. The victim described the suspect as a white male in his 50s to 60s with gray hair and black eyebrows. He is described as about 6 feet tall with an average-to-heavy build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and white shoes.
