Tustin Police are investigating the death of a man found in the street around 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, with a single stab wound to his upper body.
The TPD believes the 62-year-old, whose name is not being released pending notification of next of kin, was walking on Prospect Avenue at Norwood Park Place around 8:45 p.n. when he was attacked by an unknown suspect.
The man was found bleeding in the southbound lanes of Prospect. Despite life-saving measures by TPD officers, paramedics, and hospital staff, the man succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital, the TPD said in a news release Tuesday, Dec. 10.
A possible motive for the killing is unknown at this time and the investigation is in the early stages, Lt. Andy Birozy said.
