An 82-year-old man has been missing for more than 48 hours and the Garden Grove PD is asking for the public’s help in finding him.
Jose Eleuterio Alvarez left his home at 11301 Euclid St. at about 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 to walk to a local pharmacy to pick up medication.
When Alvarez didn’t return after an hour, family members went looking for him but couldn’t find him.
According to employees of the pharmacy, he never picked up his prescription.
After several hours of searching for him with no results, family members contacted the Anaheim Police Department, who took an initial report and conducted a preliminary investigation before forwarding it to detectives at the Garden Grove PD.
Alvarez has not been seen or heard from since leaving his home.
According to family members, he is diabetic and in need of medication. He has mild dementia and can become disoriented.
