Garden Grove woman arrested for shooting to death 25-year-old man she was dating

A 20-year-old woman has been arrested for shooting to death a man she was dating, the Garden Grove PD announced Thursday morning.

Arlene Katherine Bautista, of Garden Grove, is in custody at Orange County Jail on suspicion of killing Luis Victor Vidal, 25, according to a GGPD news release.

Garden Grove patrol officers responding to a 3:37 p.m. call Wednesday regarding unknown trouble at the Emerald Isle trailer park at 13741 Clinton St. found a man, later identified as Vidal, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Vidal was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange but was pronounced dead at 4:22 p.m., according to the news release.

Garden Grove PD investigators recovered a handgun at the scene and, after questioning Bautista, arrested her at 4:42 p.m. Aug. 5.
