Garden Grove Police early Sunday arrested a man suspected of burglarizing a car and then leading officers on a multi-city pursuit that ended at Angel Stadium.

David Williams, 45, last known address Placentia, was taken into custody after he made a voluntary stop in the parking lot of the ballpark, ending a pursuit that stemmed from a 5:29 a.m. call about an auto burglary in progress, according to a GGPD news release.

Officers were dispatched to a home at 13292 Yockey St. but the suspect fled in a car before they got there. A witness was able to give a description of the car and what direction it was headed, according to the news release.

Garden Grove officers spotted the car in the area and followed it eastbound on the 22 Freeway.

While other officers confirmed a vehicle burglary had occurred, the officers following the suspect attempted a vehicle stop.

The vehicle failed to stop and the pursuit was on.

Williams drove through various cities, including driving through John Wayne Airport, before stopping his car in the parking lot of Anaheim Stadium.

He was taken into custody without incident.
