Behind the Badge gingerbread decorating contest brings police and crafting skills for holiday fun

If there was ever a year we could all use some fun and good cheer, it’s this one.

As we enter the last few weeks of 2020, Behind the Badge decided to ask police departments to get crafty this holiday season and create their own gingerbread houses.

Armed with nothing more than graham crackers, frosting, gum drops and whole lot of Christmas creativity, police officers and administration got into the holiday spirit and put together these seasonal confections.

“This was awesome and so fun to do something out of the norm,” said Stephanie Distefano from Tustin Police Department.

Starting on December 22 through December 23^rd, Behind the Badge will ask its social media followers to pick their favorite gingerbread house, the one with the most likes and comments will be the gingerbread house winner!

The fan favorite will be announced on Christmas Eve.
