The Anaheim PD’s annual Gun Buy Back event Saturday, July 9 yielded a haul of 676 firearms, the agency said.

The APD offered a $100 gift card to Kohl’s, Walmart or Target per firearm at the event at La Palma Park.

“I am proud to see our community work with us in reducing the amount of guns on the streets or potentially those weapons which can be taken during a residential burglary,” APD Chief Raul Quezada said in a statement.

“When the community and police work together, great things are accomplished.”
