Anaheim police officers have arrested a suspect from a recent road rage incident in which a man climbed on a woman’s vehicle and shattered the front window.
Police arrested 28-year-old Joshua Robert Dalton near his home in Anaheim on Friday, Jan. 25.
Three days earlier, a 34-year-old Anaheim woman was driving with a friend and her two children when she noticed a white Jeep Liberty or Cherokee following her and driving erratically at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 22 at State College Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue.
Dalton pulled in front of the woman, forcing her to stop and then climbed onto the hood of the woman’s car. He smashed her front windshield before returning to his vehicle and driving off.
The woman told officers that she did not recognize the suspect and that the incident was unprovoked.
All passengers were unharmed, but the victim’s hood was dented and her window was shattered, causing an estimated $1,200 in damage.
The victim recorded the incident from inside the car and posted the video on social media.
Dalton was taken into custody without incident and was booked into the Anaheim detention facility on charges of felony vandalism and is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
