The wife of an Indianapolis police officer posted a picture that has evoked strong emotions from the community.
The photo shows two young children kneeling in front of a patrol car with a caption, “Praying their father and all police officers return home safely.”
Since the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department posted the photo to its Facebook page Sunday, it has been shared more than 7,000 times and received an equal amount of reactions, the Today Show reported.
In the midst of the violence surrounding law enforcement today, the emotional image is a reminder that many in the community support and appreciate police in their community, an IMPD spokesman said.
