A St. Louis County officer shot early Thursday morning after responding to a disturbance call has died.
CBS news reported Officer Blake Snyder, 33, was shot at point-blank range by an 18-year old suspect.
Snyder at about 5 a.m. responded to reports of a disturbance related at home in the Green Park neighborhood. The suspect was involved in the felony narcotics case, police said.
After the suspect shot Snyder, a second officer returned fire and shot the suspect, critically wounding him. The suspect was taken to a local hospital.
Snyder has served St. Louis County for the last four years. He leaves behind a wife and 2-year-old son.
