Two Palm Springs police officers are dead and another is injured after being shot by a suspect Saturday afternoon near the Sunrise Racquet Club.
The Desert Sun is reporting dozens of law enforcement officers are searching for the suspect and warning residents to stay in their homes.
A resident who lives across the street from where the shooting happened told a Desert Sun reporter the father of the suspect, who has mental issues, told him that he had a gun and wanted to shoot police.
