0The TV police comedy-drama “CHiPs” first sparked Sgt. John Hedges’ interest in law enforcement when he was just a boy. “I remember watching ‘CHiPs’ with Ponch and Jon. I knew I wanted to be a police officer, especially a motorcycle officer,” said Hedges, who has been at the Tustin Police Department since March 2006 and held the position of motorcycle officer for almost eight years.
