Following an anonymous tip that led to an investigation and surveillance, the Fullerton PD arrested six people May 11 in the 200 block of W. Sante Fe Avenue and 200 block of Orangefair Avenue for narcotics activity and sales.
FPD narcotics detectives seized over 14,500 Oxycodone pills, 2,000 MDMA pills, .7 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 1.5 pounds of cocaine, 16.5 grams of methamphetamine, 85 Xanax pills, a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, a ballistic vest, and over $65,000 in cash.
Andrew Zea, 29, Bellflower; David Garcia, 27, Anaheim; Denis Prado, 24, Santa Ana; Mickey Shulte, 34, Anaheim; German Ortega, 26, Garden Grove; and Jocelyn Garcia, 25, Fullerton were arrested for various narcotics- and weapons-related charges.
At the time of his arrest, Shulte was out of custody, on bail, for assault with a deadly weapon in a separate, unrelated incident.
“This is an excellent example of how the community and law enforcement can work together to make our community a safer place,” the Fullerton Police Department said in a news release. “We would like to thank the courageous anonymous source that came forward to provide this valuable information to law enforcement.”
The investigation is ongoing.
