The Garden Grove PD is conducting a suspicious death investigation after a man was found dead on an abandoned construction site late Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased man is described as Hispanic or white, 19 to 25 years old, with an average build.
He has yet to be identified.
Witnesses found the dead man around 4:50 p.m. Dec. 12 at the site at 10080 Garden Grove Blvd. A multistory unfinished steel framed structure is on the property, which is in a busy retail district.
Officers at the scene contacted homicide detectives, who responded along with investigators from the Orange County Sheriff Coroner’s Office.
Detectives observed trauma on the man and were at the scene through Tuesday night collecting evidence with crime scene investigators.
The coroner will determine the cause of death.
