Police are warning residents in the southeast area of Huntington Beach to lock their doors and windows and activate their burglar alarms after a series of daytime burglaries.
The burglars are gaining entry to the homes through a rear or side doors or windows and usually walk out of the homes through the front door, police said.
A possible suspect vehicle has been described as a red, burgundy or plum colored Chrysler PT Cruiser, unknown year with medium tint on the windows. A female white, 20-35 years, 5’6”, 160 lbs with dark hair and a male Hispanic, early 40’s with thick short dark hair have also been seen in the area of the burglaries, police say.
If you see anything suspicious, please report it immediately.
“Oftentimes, burglars will canvass a neighborhood, knocking on doors, until they find a house where no one is home. Please discuss these burglaries with your neighbors and keep an eye out for each other,” said Capt. Russ Reinhart.
