Robbing stores of codeine cough syrup.
The Details
La Habra police are on the hunt for two men who robbed a Rite Aid in the 900 block of Harbor Boulevard last week of codeine cough syrup.
The men reportedly entered the store about 7:50 p.m. and told the clerk in the store that they had a gun and they would shoot the clerk if police were called. After taking the cough syrup, the pair jumped into a light colored car and fled northbound on Harbor Boulevard.
Officers arrived and patrolled the area, but were unable to find the two men.
The suspects are described as one male, possibly Filipino, in his 20s, 5 feet 10 inches, small build, wearing a black shirt and black shorts and the second male, possibly Hispanic, also in his 20s, 5 feet 10 inches, wearing a blue shirt, black shorts, and a black hat.
A similar heist took place in July when two men stole multiple bottles of codeine cough syrup from a Vons store at the corner of Imperial Highway and Beach Boulevard.
