Fullerton Police on Thursday seized nearly 1,000 pounds of illegal fireworks and arrested four men on suspicion of possessing the fireworks.
Acting on a tip from the community, police responded to the 3500 block of West Avenue, where they arrested Lino Macias 45, Anthony Reynoso, 49, and Robert Murphy, 45.
The three men were cited for misdemeanor possession of fireworks and released.
Duane Duff, 45, was arrested for felony possession of 977 pounds of illegal fireworks.
In an unrelated incident, police seized a small amount of illegal fireworks along with an illegal nitrous oxide tank and marijuana.
Fullerton Police has been receiving tips related to illegal fireworks through its social media sites for the past few weeks, Sgt. Kathryn Hamel said.
