Two people are in custody after trying to evade Fullerton police in what turned out to be a short pursuit that ended when the car they were driving crashed into the front yard of an Anaheim residence.
The pursuit began Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Orangethorpe and Raymond Avenues, when Fullerton police tried to stop a car that had license plates that did not match the vehicle.
The female driver sped off and collided with two other cars before crashing into the residence The male passenger tried to run away but was quickly caught by two Fullerton officers.
Officers searched car and found narcotics, replica handguns, identity theft evidence and fraudulent checks and money. A search of the passenger’s hotel room also yielded stolen property from recent auto burglaries.
The pair face multiple felony charges.
