A 51-year-old Santa Ana woman was killed Sunday night when she was struck by a vehicle in Tustin.
Police at about 8:30 p.m. responded to reports of a traffic collision at First Street and Yorba Avenue after a driver hit a woman crossing the street.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where she later died, police said.
The driver, a 56-year-old woman from Santa Ana, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. She was not injured.
Police said it does not appear alcohol, drugs or cell phone use played a role in the collision.
The Tustin Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the crash and there have been no arrests or citations, police said. Investigators are also looking into whether the pedestrian was in a designated crosswalk.
