The Tustin Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying three people suspected in a robbery and stabbing at a local convenience store.
Tustin police officers responded to a call at 11:20 p.m. Friday, August 3 at the 7-Eleven at 610 W. First St.
A convenience store clerk was stabbed while attempting to confront two Hispanic men who had stolen alcohol.
Both men fled the store after taking beer without paying. The clerk ran after the suspects and, during the confrontation, one of the suspects used a knife to stab the clerk in his abdomen.
After the altercation, both suspects fled the scene in a light-colored sedan which was last seen driving westbound on Main Street. A third suspect, the driver, was not seen.
After officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, the clerk was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
