A lawyer in Florida argues he’s found a loophole that allows motorists at DUI checkpoints to avoid rolling down their windows and answering questions from officers. Instead, as his videos on YouTube show, he instructs them to display a “Fair DUI Flyer” and their driver’s license and pass through the checkpoint.
Garden Grove Police Officer Royce Wimmer was invited to Chapman News Live on Friday, Feb. 20 to discuss this so-called loophole as well as the goal of DUI checkpoints in Garden Grove.
“The main goal is education,” Wimmer said.
