Editor’s note: Every week, the new feature “Wanted Wednesday” will spotlight people wanted by the police. First up: The Garden Grove PD seeks suspect from a 14-year-old drug case.

His name?

Be Van Nguyen, AKA Be Tu.

His alleged crime?

Selling crack cocaine.

Details:

Garden Grove Police Sgt. Tom DaRe originally worked the case, which dates back to 2002 when Nguyen was in his mid-20s.

There is an outstanding $150,000 bench warrant for Nguyen’s arrest on charges of transporting and selling a controlled substance.

In 2002, when the Garden Grove PD served a search warrant on Nguyen’s home, they seized one kilogram of cocaine base with an estimated value of $100,000 (the estimated street value is $300,000). Police also found a cocaine conversion lab in Nguyen’s home, according to DaRe.

Nguyen was arrested and posted bail but failed to show up at a court hearing. Police had info he had fled to Vietnam but now believe that Nguyen, now 38, is in the Garden Grove area and may have changed his name.

Anyone with any information about Nguyen is asked to call 714-741-5850.
