Bone Marrow Match Drive to be held for daughter of Anaheim Fire family
0On Friday, June 23, Be The Match Registry® will host a bone marrow match drive for Sydney Stewart, the daughter of retired Anaheim Fire & Rescue Deputy Chief and current Disneyland Fire Chief Kevin Stewart. Stewart, an athletic 20-year-old college student, was diagnosed with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis in April. She spent almost two months in the hospital with three separate life-threatening ICU admissions. A bone marrow transplant will help her recover, but finding a match can be difficult.
