The Anaheim Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding Luke Theodore Lampers, a 35-year-old transient, who has been positively identified as the person who shot and killed a man during a dispute at an Anaheim motel.

Lampers is suspected of killing Douglas Navarro, 49, of Anaheim at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday at the Crystal Inn, 2123 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim.

The reason for the dispute and motive for the shooting are still under investigation by homicide detectives.

Lampers also is suspected of kidnapping Brianne Deese from the motel and forcing her into his vehicle at gunpoint, police said.

Detectives believe Deese and Lampers have had a romantic relationship at some point and that she is being held against her will.
