Authorities are investigating several sexual assault claims stemming from young women walking to Savanna High School.

The sexual assault claims were made starting last week, and the Anaheim Police Department sexual assault detectives and Safe Schools investigators have launched an investigation into the incidents near the campus at Gilbert Street and Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim.

The most recent reported attack took place the morning of Monday, Jan. 14 in the 2300 block of West Lincoln Avenue.

In all reports, teen girls were walking to school when they were assaulted by a suspect who grabbed the girls from behind and touched the victim’s buttocks and breasts before running away.

The suspect has been described as an unshaven Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s and is between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall. The suspect’s build is thin and he has short black hair and a mustache.

To ensure the safety of all students, Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim Police Department are reminding students to be cautious of their surroundings when walking to or from school. If anyone notices anything suspicious they are asked to immediately call 9-1-1.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Anaheim Police Department at 714-765-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS or online at www.occrimestoppers.org.
