Bicyclist carrying loaded guns, magazines and knives arrested by HBPD

A bicycle stop led to a weapons arrest after police found the man had a loaded handgun, several magazines, a baton and knives on him.

Police at about 9 p.m. Nov. 19 stopped a 29-year-old bicyclist at Beach Boulevard and Garfield Avenue for a vehicle violation, police said.

Officers found a loaded .45 caliber handgun and a dagger in the man’s waistband.

He also had three other knives on him and two loaded magazines strapped to his forearm, police said.

The bicyclist was carrying a backpack and in it officer found four more loaded magazines a baton, a knife, a pair of gloves and a handcuff key.

The suspect was arrested on several felony charges.
