BTBuzz: A lost puppy is found and rescued by Gardena Police Department

Tuesday, the Gardena Police Department went above and beyond the call of duty. No it wasn’t an arrest of a bunch of crooks or kicking down a door to rescue people from a burning building but rather finding and saving a family pet.

Anatalia Morinaka’s discovered her pet poodle, Milk Shake, had escaped from her backyard.

After driving around their neighborhood for a good 3 hours Anatalia and her husband contacted a Gardena police officer in a shopping center lot.  They asked her if she had seen a white poodle with a pink sweater. They were expecting only a yes or no answer but the officer asked for a description and took her name and number.

Around 9:30 p.m. she received a call from a Officer Pinela informing her they had found Milk Shake running the streets of Gardena. The rescue and thanks from the pet owner were highlighted in a Facebook posting today.

Anatalia reached out to the Gardena Police Department on their Facebook page thanking them for rescuing her puppy. The department posted video of Milk Shake being rescued from a busy intersection.

Way to to Gardena PD!
