A New York police officer commended in her precinct for several life-saving rescues of people overdosing is garnering attention on social media for her most recent rescue: two abandoned kittens.

SILive.com reported  Police Officer Louise Sanfilippo of the Mid-Island’s 122nd Precinct found the abandoned kittens during a call on Sunday and took them home to care for them.

The NYPD posted updates on social media asking residents to help find a good home for the kittens. As of Monday, the kittens were being housed by a “surrogate mother” and in good health.

Sanfilippo earlier this year was recognized for her work saving three people suffering from drug overdoses on three separate occasions, SILive reported.
