A traffic stop in Orange on Friday led to the arrest of an Anaheim man suspected in a residential burglary in Anaheim Hills on Jan. 21, 2014.

Nathan Christopher Duc, 25, was booked at the Anaheim PD’s Detention Facility and is being held on $50,000 bail, the Anaheim PD said in a news release.

Duc is suspected of breaking into the home at 10:30 p.m. Jan. 21, 2014 as a family of four was getting ready for bed.

The male homeowner confronted the suspect, who then ran from the home. The homeowner gave chase and caught up to the suspect in the front yard.

After a brief struggle, the suspect got away.

Responding officers and crime scene technicians collected DNA at the scene that, this week, yielded a suspect profile.

Anaheim PD burglary detectives established probable cause to arrest Duc and did so this afternoon in Orange after officers there encountered him on an unrelated car stop, the news release said.
