“Think of it as a controlled chaos,” is one analogy Westminster Police Department Communication Supervisor Kristen Kannard uses to describe a day in the life of a police dispatcher. Commonly referred to as 911 operators, public safety dispatchers are usually the first point of contact for any member of the public requesting the need for emergency services.
