Fullerton PD seeks suspect in string of property crimes involving cars and residences

The Fullerton PD is looking for a suspect in a string of property crimes that occurred early Saturday morning. The suspect, seen in the above surveillance video, is described as a male white, 30 to 40 years old, with a goatee. He was believed to be wearing a white or light-colored shirt, a light-colored baseball style hat and black pants and shoes.

Fullerton PD officers responded at about 9:15 a.m. Dec. 17 to reports of a string of property crimes in the area of Medford Place and Greenview Place.

An initial investigation revealed that a suspect was seen attempting to open vehicle doors in the 3000 block of Greenview Place at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect located an unlocked vehicle in the area and stole several tools and other personal items from inside the vehicle, according to an FPD news release.

Around the same time, a residential garage was broken into in the 2700 block of Medford Place.

During the burglary of the garage, the suspect stole a gun safe containing numerous firearms, the news release said.

Shortly thereafter, a resident in the 2700 block of Medford Place then had his truck stolen from the front of his residence. Items that were in the back of the truck at the time it was stolen were recovered near the residence where it was stolen from.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Fullerton Police Department is asking residents in the area to review their home video surveillance systems and to contact the police department with any information.
