Garden Grove PD arrests man on suspicion of murdering his live-in girlfriend, 40

The Garden Grove PD has arrested a suspect in the death of a woman who lived in a home whose “serious hoarding condition” initially made it difficult for investigators to determine the nature of her demise.

The woman, 40, was reported dead Tuesday, March 1 at 8:33 p.m. inside an apartment in the 13000 block of Casa Linda Lane, police said.

On Wednesday afternoon, the GGPD said in a news release it arrested her live-in boyfriend, Troy Eric Tommasino, 54, on suspicion of murder.

The GGPD would not release details of the woman’s fatal injuries or her name pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives are working with Orange County Sheriff Coroner investigators and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Crime Lab.

An autopsy to determine the cause of the woman’s death is scheduled for Thursday.
