Garden Grove Police detectives have arrested Michael J. Martinez, 31, of Santa Ana, in connection with the stabbing death on Saturday of a 25-year-old man from Santa Ana.
While responding to a 911 call of a disturbance at 10:36 p.m. Nov. 25 in the 13300 block of Lilly Street, Garden Grove PD officers found Ruben J. Murga lying in a driveway with stab wounds, the department stated.
Murga was treated at the scene by Garden Grove firefighters and was later taken to UCI Medical Center’s emergency room, where he died of his injuries, the department stated.
Murga was stabbed during an altercation with several other people, including Martinez, who officials identified as being involved in the stabbing. He’s currently being held at Orange County Jail.
