Spate of gang-related shootings prompts Garden Grove PD to ask public for any info

A spate of gang-related shootings since the New Year has prompted the Garden Grove PD to ask for the public’s help for any information about six incidents that have left four male Hispanic gang members wounded — two of them seriously.

In a news release Saturday, Jan. 23, the GGPD said no suspects have been identified in six separate shootings from Jan. 1 through Jan. 21.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance in gathering any information concerning these shootings,” the news release said.

The below dates and locations are where the shootings took place:

— Jan. 9, 12:24 a.m., 11731 Stuart St.

— Jan. 15, 7:37 p.m., 12571 Morningside Ave.

— Jan. 16, 3:30 a.m., 11301 Euclid St.

— Jan. 17, 9:20 p.m., 12552 Westminster Ave.

— Jan. 19, 3:56 a.m., 10621 Tibbs Circle

— Jan. 21, 8:40 p.m., Galway Street and Garden Grove Boulevard

“Any information can help with the apprehension of anyone involved in these horrific gang shootings,” the news release said.
