Tustin PD arrests man suspected of fatally shooting man in ‘roommate dispute’


A man is in custody on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in Tustin on Monday morning after police responded to a “roommate dispute.”

Raul Delagarza, 45, last known address Riverside, was arrested in a home in unincorporated Anaheim after the 7:23 a.m. incident on July 24.

When Tustin PD officers responded to the call of a reported roommate dispute in the 14500 block of Carfax Avenue, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. They attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead.

Delagarza fled the area on foot.

With the help of several other agencies, TPD detectives found him in the driveway of the residence in unincorporated Anaheim. He was in possession of a weapon, the TPD said in a news release.

Delagarza was booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder.
