Police are looking for two women suspected of distracting a jewelry store employee to steal an $8,000 watch.
The women at about 4 p.m. June 28 entered Atlantis Watches in the 1600 block of Edinger Avenue, and posed as shoppers who were in the market for high-end purses, police said.
As one woman inquired about a handbag, the other woman stole a men’s watch and handed it off to her partner.
Police said the woman concealed the watch as she continued to interact with the store employee. As the employee retrieved the purse and walked toward the counter with it, the women left the store.
Tustin Police are asking anyone with information to contact Det. Eric Haug at 714-573-3246.
