Through a number of investigative leads, Tustin PD detectives identified the suspect and determined he had also been involved in burglaries in other neighboring jurisdictions.  It was determined the suspect was involved in 15 burglaries in the City of Tustin alone.

On March 2, 2022, the suspect was taken into custody following a vehicle pursuit in a nearby jurisdiction.  The suspect was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail for multiple counts of:

  • PC 459 – Commercial Burglary
  • PC 594(b)(1) – Vandalism, exceeding $400 Value in Damages

The suspect was identified as Saul Hernandez, a 28-year-old resident of Santa Ana.  Hernandez is currently being held on $2,210,000 bail.
